OMG…this is my absolute favorite time of year, so many great memories!! The snow falling on Main Street, Christmas Fantasy Parade, “it’s a small world” Holiday Lighting, “Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks, Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, Haunted Mansion Holiday, the delicious holiday treats, and let’s not forget the SHOPPING throughout the Resorts.
Here is what you can look forward to when visiting the Parks this holiday season!
Make Holiday Memories at Disneyland
Haunted Mansion Holiday
Ready for the Hallow-Days? Take a tour of the spooky estate’s makeover and meet some eerie holiday spirits.
Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, has been busy decorating the Haunted Mansion with frightful festive touches inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare before Christmas.
Experience thrilling sights and seasonal surprises created by the citizens of Halloween Town. Oogie Boogie, Sally, and other creatures from the beloved film will be on hand to wish you “Season’s Screamings!”
A Christmas Fantasy Parade
I can’t tell you how many times we have watched this parade over the years, and it never disappoints.
With prancing reindeer, marching toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies and so much more, it really is the most magical time of the year.
Watch Disney Characters join Santa for the most jolly procession in town!
“Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks
I’m not crying, you’re crying! This fireworks show is spectacular and sharing this with your family and friends will create memories that will last a lifetime.
Don’t miss this enchanting pyrotechnical spectacle as the sky lights up with dazzling color. And of course, in magical Disney style, experience snow falling all around you in portions of Main Street, USA and “it’s a small world”, Holiday!
“it’s a small world” Holiday
My goal here is to get this song stuck in your head… together everybody…🎶”It’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small world”🎶.
Seriously though, this attraction is a classic and when you see it during the holiday season it brings on a new meaning of wonder and whimsy. Every 30 minutes throughout the night, the façade lights up in a dazzling display of festive twinkling lights and charming holiday light projections.
Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle
Be prepared to get goosebumps during this lighting. Each evening, gather to watch this iconic structure shimmer to life. As snow falls and music fills the holiday air, watch thousands of twinkling lights illuminate in stages. Sleeping Beauty Castle is truly a breathtaking sight!
More Magic at Disney California Adventure
World of Color – Season of light
Another goosebump worthy moment, you may even shed a tear or two. This is a must on your list of shows to see. Make this a magical addition to your family’s holiday traditions.
See beloved moments from Disney and Pixar films illuminate a towering wall of mist. Watch hundreds of sky-high fountains dance in time to festive music as shimmering snowflakes fill the scene. Season of Light brings stories of friendship, family and love to life. It’s truly as magical as the holidays themselves!
Mater’s Jingle Jamboree
Okay, I am giggling like a toddler as I am typing this. Mater has got to be one of my all time favorite rides in DCA, and when it transforms into Mater’s Jingle Jamboree it is tow-riffic!
Whirl through Mater’s collection of car parts in a cute little haul-iday tractor as he sings classic holiday tunes.
Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl
Celebrate the season with festive dance tunes sung my Luigi himself! Jump in a classic italian import and enjoy the ride as cars cruise to the music.
This spirited little ride is wheel-y a lot of fun when it is operational. I feel like when ever we go to ride it, it’s down, hopefully that’s not the case when you go.

Aside from some entertainment, there is no “hard” start date to Christmas 2023 at Walt Disney World. Once the calendar flips from October to November, the holiday season is underway. My name is Lori and anyone who knows me, and my family knows we are obsessed with Disney.
Growing up my parent’s idea of a vacation was fishing, camping, camping, and more fishing. Mickey Mouse never entered the picture or the campground for that matter. Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of very fond memories of my childhood, such as playing in the great outdoors, being one with nature, running from insects, and when I had the urge to take a wee… I had to find a private log somewhere in the forest. I will never forget the warm feeling I would get when squatting down in front of god and everyone, just to pee all over my shoes. Needless to say, I was not the outdoorsy, roughing it kind of girl.
I remember as I got older, every Sunday night after dinner, running into the family room to watch “The Wonderful World of Disney” on TV (I know… I am dating myself). That is where my love for Disney began. The imagination and wonder took me from never growing up in Neverland to the sweetest friendships in the 100 Acre Wood. Little did I know that Disney would steal my heart and captivate my soul.
Many, many years later I finally had the opportunity to visit a Disney Theme Park. I am fortunate that my Prince Charming was an even bigger Disney fan than I was and off to Disneyland we went. The first time I entered those gates it was truly everything that I imagined it would be…and continues to be. It doesn’t matter how many times, year after year, we enter those gates, there is one feeling that describes the awe experienced — pure happiness. Being with your family and friends, seeing it through your children’s eyes, creating memories in such a magical place sparks a delight and joy that only Disney can provide!
I am so excited to welcome all of you to my blog. My goal here is to laugh, inspire, and have fun sharing all things Disney, such as tips & tricks, vacation do’s & don’ts, food & drink, fashion, home décor, and so much more! Follow along with me on Instagram, Facebook, X (formally Twitter), Pinterest.
